33 Years of Breeding the Best to the Best…

Welcome to Ardorgold– many thanks for your inquiries into available puppies. We have imported puppies available through our Facebook group Respected International English Golden Retriever Breeders,  and we hope for litters in late autumn.

We are retired teachers who have shown and raised Goldens for many years. Our beautiful progeny have starred in the breeding program of members of the Mile Hi Golden Retriever Club in Colorado and been in demand all over the U.S.

We thank you for your inquiries into upcoming litters. We will have a Gabe x Giselle litter, a linebreeding on the beautiful Int’l CH Ashbury Angel Heart, in the late autumn. We are cautiously optimistic about breeding our Lola.   If you wish to be placed on our list, please e-mail jenanddoug@ardorgoldenglishgoldenretrievers.com. English Goldens are a type, not a color; we will have cream and light Gold puppies in our litter. Please read about English Goldens on our site.

We are very proud of the endorsement below.  Ardorgold also raises and trains psychiatric service dogs and we have our own team so designated by officials in our county.

“The James L. Voss University Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Colorado State University wishes to commend you on the quality of the Import sired-puppies you brought to us for evaluation. We have never seen puppies of such exquisite breed type as your Golden Retrievers.” James L. Voss, D.V.M., Hospital Director Emeritus.”

Puppies of stunning beauty and quality are available; the male pictured below is by the sibling of our beautiful Gabe. Contact for info.

Hello…..your babies are beautiful. We have two female English Creams. They’re beautiful & we love them so much. I wish we would have known about you when we got our last puppy. Penny. Parents were certified but Penny came to us with hip & elbow dysplasia. We had her elbows fixed. She’s doing quite well Penny is a very happy puppy. She’s not yet 2 years old. Our other English Cream, Daisy is perfectly healthy. Heart, elbows, hips & eyes certified. We had her x- rayed when she was 6 months old. Please continued to work on keeping our special Goldens free of heredity problems. There are still a lot of “back yard” breeders out there who think they know what they’re doing but they really don’t. All it seems that they want is pretty pups without considering genetics. We live on Colorado Springs & have taken our “past” babies to CSU. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK WITH THIS FABULOUS BREED! Denise, Daisy & Penny Laliberte

    1. Hi Denise: top breeders the world over understand that our breed is susceptible to the defects you mentioned. We have imported our breeding stock cleared by vets approved by the Federation Cynologique Internationale, Belgium. We personally look at the history of given bloodlines in terms of structural “defects” and prevalence of cancer. Over-testing has resulted in some damaging things: selection for ICT clear dogs only, rather than breeding out this particular issue; and breeding for coat color. Ardorgold does not support either of these practices and has confidence in FCI clearances. Of course we have used OFA in the past but are not Golden Retriever Club of America fanatics. 😉 j
